A List: Daevid Allen's University of Errors. Led by former Soft Machine and Gong co-founder Daevid Allen, the University of Errors swaps Gong's pot-head pixie whimsey for a more earnest exploration of avant-rock's outer fringe. Though he may be in his sixties, guitarist-songwriter Allen remains an invigorated, imaginative master of psychedelia and space-rock, and the  sophomore LP {e2x10=Tenure} by his U of E ensemble finds him in absolutely top form, weaving passages of eerie, ethereal, intergalactic guitar jamming with delicately melodic songwriting and truly wild-eyed incantations.
